Our Annual Advent Calendar of Good News

Every December, HarehillsLove transforms into an annual advent calendar, delivering 24 unique and positive news stories throughout the month.

Our core mission is delivered annually through our Good News Advent Calendar. Each year, from December 1st to 24th, we publish 24 hand-curated stories that showcase the positive impact of local residents, organisations, and initiatives. Since 2021, this tradition has served as a yearly reminder that our area is rich with stories of kindness, success, and resilience that deserve to be amplified. Why Positivity?

In a world often dominated by challenging headlines, we believe focusing on the positive creates a powerful and necessary counterbalance. This project serves as an ongoing archive of local achievement, proving that the heart of Harehills is defined by its strength and collaboration.

Our goal is to build a permanent, digital archive of positive local journalism, ensuring that the legacy of community kindness in Harehills is documented and easily accessible all year round.
