Advent Day 18: IntoUniversity Leeds East

IntoUniversity’s Values

IntoUniversity is a charity that helps young people from deprived areas reach their full potential, with going to university as a focus but they support young people into other career aspirations too. They operate with a value-led approach, which shapes their culture as an organisation.

Across the UK there are young people who can benefit from additional support that extra-curricular help can provide, sometimes we all need a helping hand to achieve our ambitions. IntoUniversity provides academic support, mentoring and programmes that promote young people’s aspirations.

They have thirty-five centres across the country, with two in Leeds, (plus an extension centre too). Their first centre in Leeds opened right here in Harehills in 2014, in partnership with the University of Leeds and the Queen’s Trust. Since then it has been supporting young people’s education in the area.

Here in Harehills, they are based out of St Aidan’s Community Hall, if it’s something you think your children can benefit from, please check out their website for how to get in touch with them, (either by phone or email).
